ZEE5 announces launch of ‘Poison’

After the success of its recent originals like ‘Rangbaaz’, ‘The Final Call’, ‘Abhay’ and ‘Karenjit Kaur – The Untold Story of Sunny Leone’. ZEE5 today announced its latest original, ‘Poison’. With a star-studded cast which includes Arbaaz Khan in his digital debut, Tanuj Virwani, Freddy Daruwala and Riya Sen in lead roles, the ten-episode web series will premiere for global audiences on 19th April 2019.

Produced by Altus Media, directed by Jatin Wagle and written by Shiraz Ahmed, the show is a dark mystery thriller with multi-layered characters, each having their own hidden agendas.

Set in Goa, the story kicks-off with Ranveer (Tanuj Virwani), who, after completing his jail sentence, is on a mission of retribution. A journey of danger and intrigue, filled with secrets, this fast-paced thriller captures the essence of a man who is so focused on his vendetta that he won’t let anyone or anything stand in his way.

Speaking about the show, Director Jatin Wagle said, “The web medium has given wings to content that cannot be shown in two or three-hour format and needs a longer duration format to bring the story to life.
