ZEE US in managerial changes; ZEE UK unaffected

ZEE Network USA is undergoing some managerial changes with former Zoom TV CEO, Suresh Bala crossing the Atlantic to head ZEE Network stateside.

According to a report on Exchange4Media, Suresh will be based out of New York and will report to a matrix of top level management comprising Bharat Ranga, Head of ZEE Entertainment�۪s International Business, and Punit Goenka, Managing Director and CEO at ZEEL. His date of joining could not be ascertained.

Exchange4Media also reports that Suresh will be joining as Chief Executive Officer – Americas, heading the entire North American region as the territory head. Besides ZEE TV, he will be responsible for Veriya, the natural health and wellness company owned by the Essel Group, launched in 2002.

Former ZEE Network UK Head, Subroto Bhattacharya continues in his role as the Country Head of ZEE Network US until Suresh officially begins. Subroto said he has been asked to report to ZEE Network India as part of some “new assignments” but declined to comment any further.

Whilst these changes do not directly affect ZEE Network UK, industry sources suspect of movement in the organisation in the coming weeks. However, a ZEE Network UK source told BizAsia.co.uk that no changes were expected.
