ZEE TV is planning to launch a real-life paranormal activity show as part of its focus on bringing the horror genre back on the channel.

The show currently untitled will be be filmed at various locations in India. According to Hindustan Times, the channel says that the focus will be on a realistic presentation of the recreated, dramatised version of the original stories. And while they are sure to have an air of suspense and mystery, they will be without any gore or violence.

The channel has approached some Bollywood personalities for the job, such as actors Kay Kay Menon, Gul Panag, Jimmy Shergill and Manoj Bajpai, and director-producer Vikram Bhatt.

A source from the channel says, “The anchor will play a pivotal role in each episode, introducing the story to the audience and delving into the so-called paranormal phenomenon.”
