ZEE TV India to launch ‘Sanskaar Lakshmi’

ZEE TV India will be launching a new daily drama series called ‘Sanskaar Lakshmi’ but a UK date is still to be confirmed.

‘Sanskaar Lakshmi’ is a story of how a simple, uneducated young girl comes to big city Mumbai from a small village Dharigaon in Gujarat and changes the lives of the family she marries into by her virtues/ sanskaar�۪s that instills a sense of pride in being traditional despite adorning a modern outlook. Set in modern Mumbai, ‘Sanskaar’ Laxmi chronicles the life a joint Gujarati family trying to hold on to the values and traditions which are on the verge of erosion in this fast moving world.

Making ��Laxmi�۪ come alive onscreen is none other than Veebha Anand. After wooing millions of hearts through her poignant portrayal of a Rajasthani girl, Veebha is now all set to donne the attire of a Gujarati village belle! “It�۪s like a dream come true for me to be emulating a character etched by Raju Bhai,” says the pretty actress. “He is the one who is instrumental in making Tulsi, KKusum, Kumkum and now Archana household names. I just hope that even I�۪m able to make Laxmi a name to be idolized”, quips the lissome actress, readying self to give her best shot.

Joining Veebha Anand is a star cast of many other veteran actors like Anang Desai and Devyani Thaker. Vivan Bhatena, Aamir Dalvi, Rohit Purohit and Anisha Kapoor forms the part of the young brigade on the show.

Commenting on the channels latest offering, Sukesh Motwani, Fiction Head, ZEE TV said, “Sanskaar Laxmi is a story that each one of us would be able to relate to. This story is a true realization of human nature. The emotions and sentiments weaved in this story are very heartrending and conveys a very potent message through the main protagonist Laxmi. She strongly believes that the happiest people don’t necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the best of everything they have. Sanskar Laxmi is different in the way the story is treated and executed. The true essence of the show lies in the beautiful bond that each character shares with another and the sensitivity with which it has been portrayed.”

‘Sanskaar Lakshmi’ will be launching on ZEE TV India on Monday 17th January but UK officials said the show was not starting here yet. Most likely down to unavailability of a primetime slot.
