ZEE refutes stake sales rumours to Sony & Comcast

ZEE Entertainment Enterprises Limited has released an official statement refuting rumours that it is in talks with Sony Corporation and Comcast to sell promoter stake at Rs 540-560 per share.

A report from CNBC -TV18 said that the talks were in an advanced stage and ZEEL was expected to enter into an exclusive binding agreement this week.

A statement from ZEEL said, “After receiving the media query from the channel, the management of ZEEL, under the guidance of its Promoters, had instantly stated to the channel in a written communication, that the query was purely speculative and that the management refuses to comment on any market speculations, purely in the interest of the entire investor fraternity. The official response of ZEEL’s management was also aired on the same channel.”
