ZEE Network scoops top movie blockbusters

You wanted it…Now you’ve got them! The UK’s leading
Asian TV network ZEE has done it yet again. Over the
coming months, expect a string of sizzling movie
premieres, just in time for the cold festive season.

On top of the list is this year’s huge superhit movie
Mujhse Shaadi Karogi. The Akshay-Salman-Priyanka starer
proved to be a A1 hit worldwide. The romantic comedy
movie, to which the original DVD goes on release this
weekend will be shown later this year at Christmas. This
would also be a good place to add that ZEE Network went
full force in marketing Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, which has
no doubt worked wonders for the movie’s success. If
that wasn’t enough, ZEE Network has also acquired huge
movie titles from Bollywood movie distributors Eros
Entertainment. Amongst the massive blockbusters being
shown are Baghbaan, Khakee, Tere Naam, Line Of Control,
Tarzaan-The Wonder Car, Kuch Naa Kaho, One 2 Ka 4, Suno
Susarjee, Tehzeeb and Yeh Tere Ghar Yeh Mera Ghar.

Last week Biz Asia was the first to announce that rival
Sony Entertainment Television Asia has won the rights to
telecast movies Masti and Murder. Even though the
latter is an exclusive premiere, the former (Masti) will
also be screened on ZEE Network later this year as a
big Diwali treat. Masti stars the likes of Vivek Oberoi,
Aftab, Lara Dutta and Tara Deshpande.

As well as these, ZEE TV will also be screening Yuva
next month as part of its Movie Of The Month slot on
Saturday 29th October 2004.
