Govinda’s son not ready for Bollywood yet

Govinda’s son Yashvardhan Ahuja may be 20 years old, but he is in no hurry to hit the big screen.

“I have been getting a few offers, but I don’t think I’m ready right now,” he explains. “Looking at the competition and looking at the expectations people have, it’s on another level right now,” Ahuja said. When asked when he would see himself appearing in movies he said, “Probably by 2019, I will make my debut. I do believe that people are going to compare me with dad, and I have to live up to their expectations. So, of course, I’m taking my own time.”

Ahuja, who learnt filmmaking in London, is currently working with Sajid Nadiadwala, reports Deccan Chronicle. With his father and mentor being stalwarts in the genre, would he too do comedy? “Yes, I would love to do comedy, but I would also like to explore other genres,” he says.

As far as working with his father goes, Ahuja reveals that he would love to share screen space with Govinda. “Yes, I would love to work with my dad, and we have actually been discussing a few scripts too. Hopefully, later in life, I will come on-screen with dad and make you all laugh,” he smiles.
