Yash Patnaik opens up about ‘Jana Na Dil Se Door’ ending

Popular television producer, Yash Patnaik has defended Star Plus’ decision to end ‘Jana Na Dil Se Door’, which will exit the channel on 30th June.

Fans have been left disappointed with the decision and have taken to social media to express their anger. However, Patnaik in an interview with Raj Baddhan on Sabras Radio’s ‘Drivetime’ said that the show had run its course and said it was a collective decision with the channel’s executives to wrap up the show.

In the interview, he spoke about the rumours that the show had been given a six-month extension, to which he replied, “There was no official confirmation that the show was given a six-month extension. We completed one-year on the 8th of May. We got a two-month extension for the months of May and June. Then, all the concerned parties – that’s the broadcaster, writers, creatives decided that we got to bring the story to a logical end instead of going on.”

He also said there were no plans to take ‘Jana Na Dil Se Door’ online as a web-series as that decision lies with the broadcaster and not production house.
