Wife of ex-Star TV CEO held for murder

Indrani Mukhejea, the wife of ex-Star TV CEO, Peter Mukherjea has been held by police over her sister’s murder in 2012.

Reports say that Sheena Bora went missing in Mumbai three years ago and police claim that they have found leads showing Indrani allegedly linked to the kidnapping of Sheena and the disposing of her body after setting her ablaze.

The Indian Express reports Indrani�۪s lawyers arguing that she was ���falsely implicated�۝ and moved the court for her bail.

Speaking to The Indian Express over the phone, Peter Mukerjea said he was shocked over the arrest of his wife. ���The police will not make up a case and they would arrest a person only after they have something against her. They told us that she is being taken to a police station in connection with a case.�۝

Peter and Indrani were also founders of the INX Network.
