Who was behind the Karan-Priyanka ceasefire?

Being the subject of much tabloid fodder has been difficult for Priyanka Chopra. For those who came in late, Chopra was in the eye of the storm after her rumoured dalliance with Shah Rukh Khan. Apparently Khan�۪s Mrs, Gauri was non too happy with their equation and ensured that Priyanka was pretty much on everyone�۪s hitlist including filmmaker Karan Johar�۪s, whom PC has worked with in the past. After a pretty public spat (Johar called Priyanka spineless on his Twitter account),�� the battle lines were drawn and Karan swore never to work with Priyanka again. In fact he even as went as far as omitting her name from his birthday guest list ��� until the last minute that is.

Word is that it was their mutual friend Farhan Akhtar who ensured a truce was called and got Priyanka invited to the party albeit at the penultimate hour.

“Farhan had hosted a party��on 20th May at his place. He had just wrapped up the shoot of ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’. Karan, SRK and Priyanka were all invited. At the party, Priyanka and Karan spoke for almost an hour and resolved their misunderstandings and differences. It was after this that Karan, who had very pointedly left her out from his guest list, invited Priyanka for his birthday party,�۝ said a source to the Times of India.

As BizAsia reported a couple of days ago, Priyanka who�۪d flown in all the way from Europe did in fact attend the party looking as radiant as ever. Insiders claim that at the party, the equation between her and Karan was pleasant but she steered clear of SRK and Gauri so as to not cause any further controversy, and as such the party went off without a hitch.

Here�۪s hoping for Chopra�۪s sake, that it�۪s all in the past now and ��she can get on with focusing on her professional life without rocking its boat any further.
