Where to watch IPL 2023 in the UK; Start date & times

Indian Premier League mania is upon us again! The much awaited cricket tournament kicks off on Friday, 31st March, with coverage in the UK being shared by two major broadcasters.

BizAsiaLive.com brings readers all the details that they need to prepare for the IPL 2023.

Broadcaster
Rights holder, Viacom18 India grabbed the international broadcasting rights to IPL 2023 in June last year. The broadcasting giant grabbed the media rights for ‘Rest of the World’, which include Australia, South Africa and UK. However, Viacom18 sold the rights to sports broadcaster DAZN, which has ultimately launched its first linear channel this month to broadcast the series, along with boxing its holds the rights to. DAZN will share IPL 2023 rights with Sky Sports Cricket.

Launch date & telecast time
IPL 2023 gets underway on Friday 31st March, with the opening match between champions Gujarat Titans taking om Chennai Super Kings in Ahmedabad. Sky Sports Cricket will start its coverage at 14:50, while DAZN will start its coverage at 15:00. Sky Sports will air highlight’s of the first game at 21:00 on the same evening. The following day, two matches will air on Sky Sports at 10:50 and 14:50, with highlights at 20:00 onwards on the same day. DAZN has lined up its coverage from 11:00.

Access to Sky Sports & DAZN
Viewers will be required to subscribe to either Sky Sports at £34.99 per month for all 11 Sky Sports channels. Sky Sports Cricket is available on Sky channel 404. Alternatively, DAZN costs £9.99 per month and is available on Sky channel 429.
