Vidya Balan: “Uncertainty makes us love incomplete stories”

Hamari Adhuri Kahani

Vidya Balan is readying herself for her next film ‘Hamari Adhuri Kahani’ later this month and in a recent interview she said she believes that incomplete love stories are what draws the audiences in.

Talking to Indian Express, when asked about whether she had had any incomplete love stories in her own life, Balan said, “Anything incomplete is more real and raw. It۪s the uncertainty that makes us love incomplete stories. That feeling of ho bhi sakta hai yaa nahin keeps it alive. Happily-ever-after in films can get boring but in real life, it۪s a must. As for my incomplete love stories, of course I۪ve experienced it but I۪m glad that it remained incomplete. There is no gila or shikwa. Jo nahin hua usko thenga. (Laughs)”.

About ‘Hamari Adhuri Kahani’, the actress divulged, “I۪m happy because 10 years after my first film, I۪m still getting to do an intense love story.”

Balan stars with Emraan Hashmi and Rajkummar Rao in the film which is directed by Mohit Suri.
