Vicky Kaushal on ‘Uri’: “Most physically demanding film of my career”

Vicky Kaushal who has time and time again proven that he is a versatile actor, has added another avatar to his credentials in his forthcoming release, ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’.

Reported on Deccan Chronicle, Kaushal plays a lead role in the film, based on the true events of the surgical strikes by the Indian Special Forces back in 2016. The ‘Raazi’ (2018) actor who was attending the Elle Beauty Awards, spoke about his experience filming for ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’ and playing an army officer. “Uri has been the most physically demanding film of my career. I’m very excited for the trailer to be out and to see how people react to the film,” Kaushal continued, “Real heroes are the army officers, we are just portraying them and doing that itself is a challenge. They are actually living these lives. Hats off to them. It’s not easy what they are doing.”

On a side note, Kaushal was also asked about the recent allegations made by Tanushree Dutta against Nana Patekar, to which the ‘Husband Material’ (2018) actor said, “Harassment and misconduct at workplace or anywhere else is not right. When someone comes out and speaks about something which has happened with them, the least we can do is listen to them because it’s not easy to speak about it in front of the whole world… So listen to them. At the same point it’s important to listen to the accused. Whenever something of such gravity comes out it should he properly investigated.”

Produced by Ronnie Screwvala, the cast of ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’, also include Paresh Rawal, Yami Gautam, Aditya Dhar, Mohit Raina and Kirti Kulhari. The film is slated to release in January 2019.
