Veteran actor Jagdeep passes away at 81

Veteran star, Jagdeep has passed away at the age of 81 in Mumbai.

The actor, resided in Mumbai, died from age-related health issues.

Jagdeep is renowned for his roles in various movies including ‘Sholay’, in which he played Soorma Bhopali and ‘Andaz Apna Apna’. He played the role of Salman Khan’s father Bankelal in the comedy.

He acted in 400 films over six decades. As well as acting, Jagdeep also directed a couple of films in the 80s.

Jagdeep’s last rites were performed on Thursday at Shia Kabrastan in Mumbai.
