Varun-Alia in special tribute to ‘DDLJ’

Not long after news that Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt were coming together again thanks to Karan Johar, it has emerged that the project will be a tribute to 1995’s ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’.

Titled ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’, the venture will be directed by Shashank Khaitan. Bhatt spoke about the film during India International Jewellery Week, “(My next is) ��Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania��. The announcement has just been made and I am doing this��film��with Varun. It will release next year. (I am) Very excited about that”.

No doubt the popularity of both Dhawan and Bhatt makes this project one that fans will be eagerly awaiting. It is slated for June 2014.
