Urmila to feature in a song in Abhinay Deo’s ‘Raita’

Urmila Matondkar will be returning to the silver screen by performing in a song, which will feature in Abhinay Deo’s ‘Raita’.

The film stars Irrfan Khan and Kirti Kulhari and Matondkar began preparations for the song on Thursday.

Talking to Pune Mirror, Deo said, “We wanted a great performer with a diva-like aura and Urmila fit the bill. She has been extremely choosy about offers and we are excited that she agreed to be a part of our film. The song is set in a bar and is being choreographed by Rajitdev Easwardas, who has worked with Vaibhavi Merchant earlier. I had met her immediately after the release of Masoom, but we lost touch and met again at a common friend’s residence years later. We have always wanted to work together and I am happy it’s happening for Raita.”

Matondkar has previously done an item song in Ram Gopal Varma’s ‘Aag’ (2007).
