Ummah Channel replaces 9X on Sky EPG

Islamic educational service, Ummah Channel has replaced 9X’s former EPG slot on Sky Digital.

Ummah Channel will be available free-to-air on Sky channel 828 from today after popular Hindi channel 9X made an exit yesterday.

A spokesman from the Ummah Channel previously told BizAsia.co.uk what viewers can expect, “It is a unique Islamic religious channel. Our mission will be to promote spirituality, humanity, morality and knowledge with Islam at the foundation of everything we do. Our aim is to enrich viewers’ lives through free-to-air programmes which are not only educational and entertaining but also contributes towards individuals�۪ spiritual development.”

9X’s sister station 9XM will run as a hybrid of the two channels in the UK with a slew of new shows commencing later this month. 9XM donned its new look as a hybrid service in June. Its available on Sky channel 829.
