UK TV Reach: Colors extends reach in weekly data

Colors is slowly recovering lost ground in UK ratings after latest official data put the channel back up the pecking order, according to official data for week ending 25th September 2016.

The channel’s weekly reach increased by more than 100,000 viewers to 483,000 viewers (last week 373,000 viewers). It is expected to go up higher in the coming days when its big ticket show ‘Bigg Boss 10’ launches this month. Star Plus remained the market leader with 982,000 viewers (last week 882,000 viewers), followed by &TV with 633,000 viewers (last week 718,000 viewers) and the now defunct UMP Movies in third with 635,000 viewers (last week 745,000 viewers). Star Gold was in fourth with 545,000 viewers (last week 663,000 viewers) and Zing with 526,000 viewers (last week 541,000 viewers).

The next tier consisted of SAB TV with 507,000 viewers, Rishtey with 451,000 viewers, followed by Hum TV with 437,000 viewers, Life Ok with 407,000 viewers, Prime TV with 265,000 viewers and Geo TV with 204,000 viewers.

The bottom tier consisted of Venus TV with 163,000 viewers, followed by PTC Punjabi with 162,000 viewers, Akaal Channel and ATN Bangla with 156,000 viewers, PTV Global with 121,000 viewers, Sikh Channel with 93,000 viewers and Brit Asia TV remained on the bottom with 76,000 viewers.

ARY News remained the UK’s most popular South Asian news channel with 367,000 viewers, followed by Geo News with 307,000 viewers, SAMAA TV and Aaj Tak with 251,000 viewers, NDTV 24×7 with 229,000 viewers, Dunya TV with 197,000 viewers, Geo Tez with 189,000 viewers and ABP News with 107,000 viewers. Times Now attracted 60,000 viewers and News18 got 35,000 viewers.
