UK TV Ratings: Star Plus leads on Saturday; Sony TV propels with ‘Indian Idol’
Star Plus remained the leading Hindi entertainment channel in the UK on Saturday with a 0.11% share among Asian TV networks.
The broadcaster’s top show was ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’, which attracted 24,000 viewers. It was followed by ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’ at 21:30 with 22,000 viewers, while ‘India Ke Top 1%’ secured 15,000 viewers.
Sony TV ranked second with a 0.07% share. Newly launched reality format ‘India Idol’ drew 22,000 viewers, while ‘Family Full House With Rohit Sharma’ recorded 16,000 viewers.
Sony SAB secured a 0.06% share, ahead of Colors, which registered 0.04%.
ZEE TV achieved a 0.03% share during the day.

Among the movie channels, Star Gold emerged as the top performer with a 0.06% share. Its highest-rated film was the classic ‘Haathi Mere Saathi’, which attracted 5,000 viewers.
Outside the Hindi genre, PTC Punjabi was the most-watched Asian television channel overall, commanding a 0.21% share.
