UK ratings: Zing & UMP Movies overtake Rishtey

Rishtey faced stiff competition from the likes of Zing and UMP Movies, while Star Plus continued to dominate in the latest round of UK Asian TV ratings.

Star Plus led with weekly reach of 1,066,000 viewers – up from 1,035,000 viewers, followed by Colors with 648,000 viewers (up from 610,000 viewers) and UMP Movies in third with 635,000 viewers (up from 620,000 viewers). In fourth place was Zing with 568,000 viewers and Rishtey was in fifth with 564,000 viewers.

The next tier saw the following channels: Lamhe (447,000 viewers), Star Gold (431,000 viewers), Sony SAB TV (416,000 viewers), Star Life Ok (337,000 viewers) and PTV Global (145,000 viewers).

Amongst the South Asian news genre, ARY News continued its rule with 359,000 viewers, NDTV 24×7 was in second place with 202,000 viewers and Aaj Tak with 193,000 viewers. The next batch consisted of Geo News with 185,000 viewers, Geo Tez with 177,000 viewers, SAMAA TV with 119,000 viewers, ABP News with 115,000 viewers and News18 India with 60,000 viewers.
