UK ratings: UMP Movies stays second after Star Plus

UMP Movies remained the second most watched Asian channel in the UK ratings, despite Colors inching closer.

According to official data for week ending Sunday 7th September, Star Plus remained top with a weekly reach of 1,030,000 viewers – down from 1,057,000 viewers last week. UMP Movies was in second place with 692,000 viewers – up from 670,000 viewers and Colors stayed in third with 672,000 viewers – up from 645,000 viewers.

The other that followed were Rishtey with 622,000 viewers (last week 601,000 viewers), Zing with 546,000 viewers (up from 497,000 viewers), Sony SAB TV with 445,000 viewers (up from 383,000 viewers), Hum TV Europe with 435,000 viewers (up from 431,000 viewers), Star Gold with 411,000 viewers (down from 509,000 viewers), Lamhe with 363,000 viewers (up from 325,000 viewers), Star Life Ok with 358,000 viewers (down from 437,000 viewers), PTC Punjabi with 195,000 viewers (up from 166,000 viewers) and PTV Global with 185,000 viewers (up from 159,000 viewers).

ARY News continued to lead the South Asian news genre with 511,000 viewers – down from 587,000 viewers, followed by Geo News with 360,000 viewers – up from 343,000 viewers, SAMAA TV with 342,000 viewers – up from 226,000 viewers. NDTV 24×7 dominated the Indian news genre with 211,000 viewers (up from 190,000 viewers), followed by Aaj Tak with 174,000 viewers, ABP News with 138,000 viewers and News18 India with 73,000 viewers.
