UK ratings: &TV overtakes Colors & Rishtey

ZEE Network’s new entertainment channel, &TV continued to jump leaps and bounds in official UK Asian TV ratings supplied by BARB for week ending 2nd August 2015.

According to official data, Star Plus remained the most watched South Asian channel in the UK with a reach of 803,000 viewers (last week 807,000), followed by UMP Movies with 730,000 viewers (last week 699,000) and &TV moving up to third place with 661,000 viewers (last week 573,000). Colors slipped to fourth with 646,000 viewers (last week 607,000) and Rishtey with 604,000 viewers (last week 705,000).

The next tier consisted of Zing with 590,000 viewers, Hum TV with 586,000 viewers, SAB TV with 443,000 viewers, Star Gold with 376,000 viewers, Life Ok with 296,000 viewers.

The bottom tier had the likes of Prime TV with 253,000 viewers, Geo TV with 243,000 viewers, PTC Punjabi with 228,000 viewers, Venus TV with 211,000 viewers, DM Global with 208,000 viewers, Sikh Channel with 193,000 viewers, PTV Global with 172,000 viewers, Akaal Channel with 119,000 viewers and Brit Asia TV with 114,000 viewers.

ARY News was the UK’s most watched South Asian news channels once again with a weekly reach of 479,000 viewers (last week 414,000), followed by Geo News with 308,000 viewers, SAMAA TV with 272,000 viewers, ABP News with 225,000 viewers, Geo Tez with 218,000 viewers, NDTV 24×7 with 213,000 viewers, Dunya TV with 163,000 viewers, Aaj Tak with 147,000 viewers and News18 India with 64,000 viewers.
