UK ratings: Sony SAB TV goes up to fifth place

Sony SAB TV has pushed its way up to fifth place after getting the biggest ever weekly reach during week ending Sunday 17th November.

The channel got a weekly reach of 651,000 viewers – only beaten by Star Plus, which remained the UK’s most watched Asian channel with 1,175,000 viewers, UMP Movies with 787,000 viewers, Rishtey with 769,000 viewers and Colors in fourth with 681,000 viewers.

The next tier saw Zing in sixth with 648,000 viewers, Star Gold was next with 613,000 viewers, Lamhe was in eighth with 525,000 viewers and Star Life Ok did well with 436,000 viewers.

Amongst the news genre, Al Jazeera English led the ratings in the UK with 936,000 viewers, followed by ARY News with 343,000 viewers, Geo News with 298,000 viewers. Aaj Tak was the most watched Indian news channel (283,000). SAMAA TV was in fifth place with 251,000 viewers. NDTV 24×7 slipped down to sixth with 214,000 viewers. News18 India struggled at the bottom of the chart with just 57,000 viewers.
