UK ratings: Rishtey pushes rivals out the way

Newcomer Rishtey has got off to a good start with promising weekly reach figures. According to latest data for weekending Sunday 4th November, Rishtey was behind just Star Plus and UMP Movies.

Star Plus had a weekly reach of 1,226, while UMP Movies was in second with 664,000 and Rishtey just behind with 619,000. It was up from last week’s 481,000. It is expected to climb further next week with its movie premieres strategy.

Rishtey shot straight past the likes of Star Gold, which managed to muster in 545,000 and Star Life Ok with 542,000. Zing was down from last week’s high of 502,000 to a new weekly reach of 433,000.

Sunrise TV was steady with 339,000, while Sony SAB TV got 243,000 and UMP Stars with 218,000. Sahara One’s viewership was affected due to its signal being affected by the Sandy Storm in America. Its reach was 109,000.

Al Jazeera English led the news genre with a high of 704,000 and ARY News in a distant second place with 352,000.
