UK Ratings: India V South Africa tour puts Star Gold at No.1

The South Africa tour of India earlier this month gave Star Gold a huge surge in UK ratings, according to official data from BARB for week ending Sunday 22nd September 2019.

The channel’s coverage of the the third Twenty20 in the series on Sunday 22nd September raked in 72,600 viewers, while 63,200 viewers tuned in the earlier part of the match.

The movie ‘Dhadak’ on ZEE Cinema, was the biggest film of the week with 31,300 viewers on Sunday 21st September. ‘Hichki’ on Sony MAX delivered 16,500 viewers.

Star Gold’s weekly reach stood at 461,000 viewers – making it the No.1 movie channel. It was also placed second overall, behind sister channel, Star Plus with 611,000 viewers.
