UK ratings: Geo News overtakes ARY News

It’s the war between the Pakistani news broadcasters as this time, Geo News takes the lead in the latest UK ratings, according to BARB for week ending Sunday 24th November.

Geo News got the best ever ratings in the latest round of official figures with a weekly reach of 408,000 viewers, with ARY News closely behind with 406,000 viewers. However, Al Jazeera English maintained leadership with 770,000 viewers. SAMAA TV also was in fourth place with 268,000 viewers.

NDTV 24×7 was the most watched Indian news channel with 254,000 viewers, while Aaj Tak fell back behind with 249,000 viewers and News18 India at the bottom with just 36,000 viewers.

Star Plus’s dominant position continued in the UK ratings with 1,113,000 viewers, followed by UMP Movies with 783,000 viewers and Rishtey in third with 751,000 viewers.

The next batch of channels saw Colors in fourth with 701,000 viewers, then Zing with 672,000 viewers and Sony SAB TV in sixth with 650,000 viewers.

The next tier saw Star Gold with 543,000 viewers, Star Life Ok with 496,000 viewers and Lamhe with 476,000 viewers.
