UK ratings: All channels gather pace

Most of the UK Asian TV channels gathered pace in the latest round of ratings supplied by BARB for week ending Sunday 3rd August.

According to official data, Star Plus remained the market leader with 1,040,000 viewers – up from 980,000 viewers last week. Colors also upped its audience from 574,000 viewers to 722,000 viewers and sister channel maintained third place with 645,000 viewers (up from 457,000 viewers).

The others in the pecking order were UMP Movies (666,000), Zing (469,000), Sony SAB TV (454,000), Star Life Ok (430,000), Star Gold (358,000), Lamhe (340,000), Hum Europe (245,000) and PTV Global (141,000).

ARY News continued to slide in the UK Asian TV ratings for the second consecutive week but remained top South Asian news channel with a reach of 294,000 viewers, followed by Geo News (217,000), Aaj Tak (183,000), NDTV 24��7 (157,000), SAMAA TV (141,000), ABP News (77,000) and News18 India (56,000).
