Asian media in the UK is going ga ga over the upcoming blockbuster movie Humko Deewana Kar Gaye. Leading star of the movie, Akshay Kumar, is said to have given a first-of-its kind interview to the BBC Asian Network on Humko Deewana Kar Gaye and life in general. What makes the interview unique, one may ask? It’s the first time that he’s done an interview for an overseas radio station in chaste Punjabi. Considering Akshay’s enormous fan following overseas, the Punjabi audience in particular will be in for a treat this Friday on Neelu Khalsi’s Punjabi show (from 19:30 BST). Sticking with radio, Sabras Radio in the Midlands will be giving away merchandise of the film including soundtracks, calendars and posters starting from Wednesday this week. Interestingly it was Sabras Radio who premiered the Himesh Reshammiya remix version of the title track of the film first before anyone else in the world. Over on ZEE Network, the opening weekend release of the movie will see the exclusive Making of Humko Deewana Kar Gaye at the following times: On Saturday 15th April at 12:30 on ZEE TV On Sunday 16th April at 11:30 on ZEE Cinema As revealed exclusively previously on Biz Asia, ZEE Network has scooped the television rights for the movie Humko Deewana Kar Gaye. ZEE Network and the movie’s distributor U T V have also collaborated on a special movie contest for the benefit of ZEE viewers with Akshay Kumar, details of which will be divulged exclusively on Biz Asia shortly. Moreover, the soundtrack has reached number one on the charts uniformly across all UK radio stations including Sabras Radio, Sunrise, Awaz Radio & the BBC Asian Network.
