UK�۪s first TV channel dedicated to British Asians

he first television channel dedicated to the British Asian population has launched on Sky Digital.

Brit Asia TV will be an entertainment channel aimed at providing predominantly UK based programming. Featuring daily shows, music, latest entertainment news, entertaining chat shows, drama serials and reality TV shows.

After months of talk and speculation, Brit Asia has this week appeared on Sky Digital channel 836 although an official launch is expected on 7th April 2008.

Jaz Bal, director of Brit Asia TV, said: “This is a unique and highly entertaining television channel that will plug the gap for quality programming by British Asians for British Asians. The response even before our launch has been overwhelming.”

According to management at Brit Asia TV, the channel will remain free-to-air meaning no subscription will be required to view the channel.
