TV99 joins BARB ratings service

If the big Asian TV networks can join BARB, then why should the smaller independent channels be left behind!

BizAsia can exclusively reveal that the recently revamped service, TV99 has signed up with UK audience measuring service, BARB. According to exclusive information released to BizAsia, BARB will begin reporting data for TV99 immediately (as of 3rd August). Data for the first day indicates the channel performed poorly with a zero rating most of the day except at 14:30 with around 4,600 viewers and around 400 viewers at 18:30. TV99 is set to roll out a marketing plan to promote its new schedule.

TV99 has recently undergone a series of changes and launched new Urdu and Hindi shows. The channel is also broadcasting movies in Hindi, Urdu and Punjabi each night at 22:00.
