Tusshar Kapoor is most known for essaying comic roles in multistarrers. However, the actor is all set to take a U-turn from his onscreen image by portraying the most negative role of his career in Kabeer Kaushik’s ‘Chicago Junction’.

Speaking to DNA India, Kapoor said, “It’s a period film based in the 70s, called ‘Chicago Junction’. It’s got to do with gang wars in UP and is called that because eastern Uttar Pradesh, used to be called as the land of gang wars and mafia wars and mafia war was as its peak… My role is that of a ruthless gangster who has nothing good in him. It’s the darkest, most negative character I have ever played till now. There are no shades of grey – it’s black. It’s something very different from what I have done till now so I am very excited about it.”

The actor, who has been a part of some adult comedies, said he is taking a break from that genre as the censor board does not support adult comedies. Kapoor is now planning to focus on more realistic cinema.

‘Chicago Junction’ will also allegedly star Arshad Warsi, alongside Pankaj Kapur and Naseeruddin Shah.
