Salman Khan has always been known to promote new talent. He co-produced ‘Chillar Party’ in 2011 and seems to have taken off his producer’s hat ever since. However, BizAsia can reveal that Khan is set to produce no less than three forthcoming movies.

Khan will be producing Sooraj Pancholi’s debut film which co-stars Suniel Shetty’s daughter Athiya. The film is said to be the modern-day remake of Subhash Ghai’s ‘Hero’ (1983) which starred Jackie Shroff and also Meenakshi Seshadri. Nikhil Advani has been roped in to direct the flick.

News is also emerging that Khan is very keen to produce a Bollywood version of the hugely successful ‘Jatt and Juliet’ (2012) which is a Punjabi film. It is thought he will be joining hands with Himesh Reshammiya to produce this project which will be starring a newcomer.

Thirdly, Khan is said to be on the cards to produce a film directed by Puneet Issar which he may also star in.

The ‘Hero’ remake is said to be ready to go on the floors in a few months time whereas the other project should take off some time in 2014.
