Today the trailer of ‘Mulk’ was released, which stars Rishi Kapoor, Taapsee Pannu and Prateik Babbar in a courtroom drama.
Though the film is on the serious side, Pannu is seen breaking out in a dance number which she choreographed herself. Reported on Deccan Chronicle, Anubhav Sinha gave the ‘Judwa 2’ (2018) star free reign for the song ‘Thenge Se’, as Sinha was looking for an impromptu style and praised Pannu for hidden talent. “Since the song was not meant to look like a professionally choreographed one, I wanted a fresh perspective, and Taapsee provided just that. I am impressed with her directorial eye. If she ever wishes to foray into direction, she will do well,” said Sinha.
In response to the same, Pannu said she is grateful for the opportunity, “Anubhav sir wanted the song to look like a family had simply come together to celebrate. He wanted it to look spontaneous. Hence, he gave the responsibility of choreographing the song to each one of us. I, with the help of [actor-choreographer] Prachi Shah, designed my portion, and sir did not change anything. This song will be special. It has a personal touch to it, after all.”
‘Mulk’ is slated to release in cinemas on the 3rd August.
