Taapsee Pannu on nepotism: “You can’t shy away from it”

The nepotism debate still continues to dominate Bollywood. Taapsee Pannu, who recently opened up about her thoughts on the topic, has said there’s no point shying away from the matter.

Reported on Pinkvilla, Pannu who has worked hard and has successfully created her own identity in Bollywood said, “It exists in your face so you can’t shy away from it. The number of outsiders is slowly increasing so because of that, this is getting evident. It’s now about how it’s reported. One statement is written so many 1000 times. People ask us and then it gets amplified. Actors aren’t doing that debate. We know it exists in our face from day to night. So I have stopped looking at it like a victim. I have accepted it as a rule of the game and I am trying to make my way despite this hurdle which is what I’m doing.”

Many stars have spoken about the issue, though Kangana Ranaut was probably the first to speak out against nepotism, sparking a much bigger debate.

As for Pannu, she will next be seen in a digital production titled ‘Thappad’, which releases on 28th February. The ‘Badla’ (2019) star is also working on another film ‘Rashmi Rocket’ which will be out later this year.
