Ever since her Bollywood debut in 2015, Taapsee Pannu seems to be on everyone’s wish list. With the promotions of her release ‘Pink’, news has it she has been approached to play the lead in a biopic based on civil rights activities��Irom Sharmila.
The film titled ‘Imphal’ will be helmed by debut director��Vikas K Dwivedi. Box Office India reported a source revealing, “Taapsee loved the script and she always wanted to do something like this. As an actor, she is looking for inspiring and meaty roles, and when Vikas narrated the script to her, she found it inspiring. Right now, she is busy promoting Pink and shooting for her untitled film abroad. She will sign ‘Imphal‘��only after ‘Pink’ releases.”
Reports suggest that the film is scheduled to go on floors at the end of the year, and will be shot in North India.
