T-Series unhappy with Yami Gautam’s casting in ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’?

Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor are ready for their next, ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’, which also features Yami Gautam, but it looks like the co-producer of the film, T-Series is not ready to forgive Gautam for an alleged disagreement they had with her, during their last outing ‘Sanam Re’ (2016). Producer Prernaa Arora and director Shree Narayan Singh have cast her for the character, but T-Series is awaiting an apology, which Gautam won’t give.

As according to Bombay Times, an source said, “There’s an internal conflict. The banner has not forgiven Yami and is still upset with her. The producers were not keen on Yami joining the cast, but Prernaa, along with director Shree Narayan Singh, got the actress on board as they felt she suited the character. Apparently, she and Bhushan Kumar spoke about the issue and the banner wants an apology from Yami. Prernaa has asked Yami to apologize and move on. She even had a word with Bhushan’s team and tried to convince them to accept her as a member of the cast. Yami still feels strongly that she was right and doesn’t want to apologize. So, her saying sorry isn’t happening for sure. But, Prernaa is definitely going ahead with her for the film.”

‘Sanam Re’ was directed by Divya Khosla Kumar, and starred Gautam, Pulkit Samrat, and Urvashi Rautela.
