Sushant Singh Rajput’s next project will see him head for the moon in ‘Chanda Mama Door Ke’ (CMDK). Preparations for his upcoming film will start after the release of ‘Raabta’ next month.

According to Hindustan Times, Singh Rajput will undergo training by one of Hollywood’s leading astro expert John Palmer, who designed spacesuits for Matt Damon in ‘The Martian’ (2015), and has also worked on the Tom Hanks starrer Apollo 13 (1995) and Bridge of Spies (2015). Palmer will also design the spacesuit for the ‘Kai Po Che’ (2013) actor.

A close source says, “Once Raabta releases, Sushant will focus on CMDK. It’s a completely new space for any actor, so he will immerse himself in it and will have multiple training sessions to prepare.”

Singh Rajput also commented on the same, “John has been working on space films for decades now, and he has designed a suit for us. Besides training at NASA, I will also have a chance to train with him, which would be really helpful considering the experience he has on the subject [films set in space] and his knowledge of astrophysics.”
