Supreme Court suggests name change for ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’

Just a few days before its release, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ is still embroiled in legal controversy. The Supreme Court has suggested a name change for the film.

A report in E Times says that the apex court has said that due to the several cases against the film, a name change could be a resolution somewhat. Bhansali’s lawyer will be talking to the filmmaker on this matter ahead of the hearing on Thursday.

Aside from this, the family of the real Gangubai have said the film depicts her incorrectly and there are defamation cases which have been filed too.

The film’s slated for release this Friday, starring Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn.
