Supreme Court refuses further delay of ‘PM Narendra Modi’ release

A petition filed to further delay the release of ‘PM Narendra Modi’ has been rejected by the Supreme Court.

The film starring Vivek Oberoi, was due to release last Friday due to objections against the film. It was rescheduled for a release on 11th April 2019. However, the court said it was not entertaining any petition for the stay on the release of the film as it was “premature” not knowing the film’s certification by the censor board.

Oberoi went to Twitter to express his gratitude, “With all your blessings, support and love, today we have won in the Honorable Supreme Court! A humble thank you to all of you and to the Indian juidiciary for upholding our faith in democracy! Thursday 11th April. Jai Hind.”
