Sunrise Radio Yorks to launch on DAB in Manchester

Sunrise Radio Yorkshire is spreading its wings by extending its reach to Manchester on DAB digital radio.

According to a post on the station’s Facebook page, Sunrise Radio Yorkshire will be available on digital radio from Saturday 28th May.

Up until now, Sunrise Radio has been available in the Yorkshire region on FM, DAB and online. With this, it will give competition to Asian Sound Radio, which has a similar programming remit as Sunrise Radio Yorkshire. There are also a slew of other Asian community stations available in Manchester.

It is not known if Sunrise Radio Yorkshire’s DAB move will be a permanent one. An official announcement on the news is expected this week.
