Sunny & Shay, who are travel from London to front their daily BBC Radio WM Show, will continue with their BBC Radio London show on Friday – Sunday.

In a post shared on social media, the duo said, “Covid has effected us all in many different ways and so it’s with a heavy heart we’re sharing the news that we will not be back in the #Midlands for the foreseeable future.

The National Lockdown means that we cannot travel to our studios and it’s important to protect our colleagues, our families and ourselves.
So for now, we remain based in London.

If you know us you’ll know broadcasting and radio is our passion which gives us so much happiness and joy. We really do ‘Live to Work’

We’re both absolutely gutted that we can’t be on air right now in the Midlands but until we’re back on the airwaves we still continue the conversation and company on BBC Radio London from 10pm Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Stay Safe, Stay Happy.”

A BBC Spokesperson said, “In line with government guidance to cut down on all but essential travel, Sunny and Shay Grewal’s BBC WM late show for the Midlands will for the moment be presented by Gagan Grewal.”
