Stars respond to rumours of ‘Ishqbaaaz’ going off air

Rumours have been doing the rounds, that the popular TV show ‘Ishqbaaaz’ on Star Plus is going off air. Although this isn’t the first time this has been mentioned, it has certainly heightened speculation with fans as Star Plus are proposing to revamp the content.

Reported on Pinkvilla, lead stars of ‘Ishqbaaz’ – Nakuul Mehta and Surbhi Chandna have both dismissed the rumours. Chandna who spoke to an entertainment portal, said fans should just live in the moment, adding that these rumours have been around from the beginning of the show but nothing has happened and that every show has its fate and complete the duration it is meant to be. Chandna stressed, that fans should not feel so bogged down with these rumours.

Mehta also responded saying, “My job is to act and that is what I do. I come to the sets, read my screenplay and I act. And of course, a lot of things are spoken about, and if I pay heed to those things then I won’t enjoy my work. When you tell me I also take it with a pinch of salt, I feel we are doing well, and what is stored ahead is very interesting. I think people are going to love it, and there is no reason why you will not watch more of us.”

A similar question was also asked to Gul Khan, the producer of the show, who also denied ‘Ishqbaaaz’ was ending. “This is the fifth time, I am hearing this rumour. It comes up every six months.”

Further adding, “I think IB (Ishqbaaaz) actors are the most popular in the TV industry today! They wouldn’t get affected by these rumours. They all are fabulous in their own way and deserve to enjoy this happiness without being constantly heckled with such rumours.”

Khan took the opportunity to thank all the fans for the constant love and support, “My message to the fans is that it’s amazing to have you’ll. You bring so much joy and love in our lives and I can’t possibly thank you enough for your constant faith.”

Star Plus announced that they are looking to revamp their current content of shows, suggesting ‘Naamkarann’ and ‘Ishqbaaaz’ are two shows which could face the axe, however this remains to be confirmed.
