Star TV Network has signed an estimated deal worth Rs 450 crore to Rs 500 crore with Salman Khan to secure his forthcoming produced releases over the next five years.

Sources have informed Economic Times that all films post the release of ‘Dabangg 2’ (2012) will be exclusively shown on Star TV. The broadcaster already owns some of the biggest hits Khan has been a part of including ‘Dabangg’ (2010), ‘Wanted’ (2009), Ready (2011), Bodyguard (2011), Tere Naam (2003) and Pyar Kiya To Darna Kya (1998). It bagged the rights for ‘Dabangg 2’ prior to its release for Rs 50 crore for an eleven-year period.

The deal means that the network will exclusively broadcast some of Khan’s upcoming films that include Sajid Nadiadwala’s ‘Kick’, brother Sohail Khan’s next film, Boney Kapoor’s sequel to ‘No Entry’, ‘Dabangg 3’ as well as Sooraj Barjatya’s next movie.

“It is reasonably long and big,” said Star India’s Chief Operating Officer Sanjay Gupta.
