Star Plus planning Sunday night schedule revamp

After the exit of ‘Mad In India’ from its Sunday night schedule, Star Plus has been left wondering what to fill the gap with. BizAsia understands that three new shows are set to take to the air that will strengthen the channel’s weekend schedule.

The three new shows in the offing are ‘Airline’ starring Yudi and Tulip Joshi, ‘Hospital’ produced by Endemol and Ashutosh Gowariker�۪s ‘Everest’. All three shows are infinite with a fixed ending.

In addition to these fictions, the channel is also getting ready to launch its big reality show ‘India’s Raw Star’, which will be the TV launch pad for singer/rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh. The show’s promos have already hit the Star TV Network. ‘India’s Raw Star’ is expected to air towards the end of July or beginning of August. However, word has it that the show will launch in the weekend slot, leaving a question mark hanging over the future of the six-day fictions that currently air on Saturday nights.
