Star Gold UK to premiere first Marathi film

Star Gold UK has scheduled its first Marathi film to air this month.

The channel is said to be exploring new strategies to lure viewers and move away from its ethos of broadcasting Bollywood-only titles.

Star Gold UK will be premiering the Marathi blockbuster ‘Dagdi Chawl’ on Saturday 16th July at 20:00.

‘Dagdi Chawl’ starring Ankush Choudhary, Pooja Sawant and Makrand Deshpande, released last year and proved a huge success at cinemas.

The film revolves around Surya, who is living a peaceful middle class life but an incident forces him to join hands with criminal forces.
