SRK on turning 50: “My 50th birthday resolution is to smile more”
Today marks the 50th birthday of Bollywood’s King Khan, Shah Rukh Khan. The actor is known to have a press conference on his birthday each year at his house where he cuts his cake amongst the media representatives present. As this year is a special milestone for the star, many of his fans have not only been eagerly waiting outside his house for a glimpse of their superstar but some have also been invited to attend the press event too, where Khan is currently talking about the occasion.
When asked how he feels turning 50, Khan candidly said, “I always look forward to celebrating my birthday with the media. It feels wonderful…��Numbers don’t matter to me, whether it is an age or the box office.��My 50th birthday resolution is to smile more.”
“On my birthday I meet you all. My birthday at personal level is to spend time with kids. No special celebration.��My kids say what do we give someone who has it all. They give me lots of hugs and kisses as gifts,” he commented further.
Khan also spoke about the forthcoming clash between his film ‘Dilwale’ and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Bajirao Mastani’ in December, “It’s unfortunate that Dilwale��& Bajirao Mastani��are releasing on the same day.��I’m sure Bajirao Mastani��will be a good film and I wish it does very well.”
He went on to say, “When people tell me how I’ve touched their lives, it’s very emotional, heart wrenching even. I never thought women would love me, I used to be scared that they would reject me”.
Khan also spoke about Salman Khan who also bestowed birthday wishes on him. “I love Salman Khan��He’s a cool guy, a stud & a superstar”.
The actor was seen teaching his signature pose to a fan who was present at the event.
Khan is due to fly to Goa tomorrow for the final leg of the ‘Dilwale’ shoot.
