Sridevi quoted Rs. 6 crore for ‘Baahubali’

With R.Rajamouli’s film ‘Baahubali’ doing incredibly well at the box office, its emerged that popular actress Sridevi had quoted a huge Rs. 6 crore for the role of queen mother.

According to The Asian Age, the role then went to Ramya Krishnan. Incidentally, Rajamouli also wanted to cast Hrithik Roshan in the lead role of the Hindi version.

A prominent film producer said, ���That would have made sense: Just like in Drishyam, where Mohanlal did the Malayalam version, Kamal Haasan was in the Tamil version and now Ajay Devgn is doing the Hindi version. You can�۪t have Prabhas in such a massively budgeted pan-India costume drama.”

‘Baahubali’ has been one of the quickest films to hit the Rs. 100 crore club.
