South For You terminates UK transmission

Tamil broadcaster South For You (Jaya TV) has ceased broadcasting in the UK on Sky Digital.

The channel was contemplating whether to continue with its UK transmission for several months. It�۪s now official that the channel has ceased its operations on Sky Digital after ten years. It was removed from the EPG earlier this week.

Earlier this month, South For You confirmed to BizAsia.co.uk that it will cease broadcasting on the Sky Digital platform. It will be available in other parts of Europe instead on the Eurobird platform as “it has wider coverage”.

The channel will be selling its EPG slot in the coming days. It has been in talks with various broadcasters including another Tamil channel, which could replace South For You.
