Sooraj Pancholi’s parents file contempt plea against Rabiya Khan

If news is to be believed, Sooraj Pancholi’s parents Zarina Wahab and Aditya Pancholi have filed a contempt plea against the late Jiah Khan’s mother Rabiya Khan, stating that she has been making negative comments about their son and their family in public.

As  The New Indian Express reports, the Pancholi’s statement reads that Khan is, “continuing to make defamatory statements against them and their son Sooraj,” despite having agreed to authorities that she would stop making such remarks and comments in regard to her daughters relationship with their son.

The petition went on to add, “She (Rabiya) continues to do so through her Twitter account and also by giving interviews to various television channels.”

The Bombay High Court have now issued a notice to Khan and are currently waiting for her response. She has until 3rd February to make her statement.

Pancholi (Sooraj) was accused of being the reason behind Khan’s (Jiah) death when she committed suicide on 2013. As his trial still proceeds to come to a verdict, the actor is currently out on bail.
