Sooraj Pancholi rubbishes rumours about dating Sushant’s ex-manager

Since the demise of Sushant Singh Rajput last month, all sorts of questions have risen about the state of the Indian film industry. A week prior to Rajput’s death, it was reported his ex-manager, Disha Salian had allegedly jumped off the 14th floor of a building in Jankalyan Nagar in Malad West.

Not much has been reported about her death until now. Rumours doing the rounds over the past few days alleged that Salian had been dating actor Sooraj Pancholi. However, Pancholi has outright denied the rumours. In an interview with Beyond Bollywood, he said, “I don’t even know Disha. I never met her in my life. I only knew about her after her death, and then later Sushant’s death, that too through social media. I’d never interacted, don’t know what she even looked like.”

Branding people speculating about Disha’s death “insensitive”, he added, “People who have nothing to do have written it like a movie script. It looks like a script that has gone wrong. I feel I’ll be wasting my time if I give a statement to something as disgusting, inappropriate and insensitive as that.”

He further added, “It is inappropriate to talk like this about people who are no longer there. Think about the girl’s family, her brother and sister, and what they are going through right now. It is disheartening not because they are writing about me but you are writing this about someone who is not there anymore.”

Incidentally, Sooraj is being tried in late girlfriend, Jiah Khan’s death, who died by suicide on 3rd June 2013.
